16 Aug Back to School Giveaway and Beverage Tasting
The Jacksonville Black Chamber of Commerce was proud to host a Backpack Giveaway featuring a presentation by the Florida Beverage Association with the assistance of Cintas, Atlas Mobile Massage, and The Teacher Supply Depot. The featured presentation covered school beverage guidelines, and answered the following questions.
What’s the difference between bottled water and water beverages?
What’s the difference between 100 percent juice and juice drinks?
Are sports drinks, energy drinks and ready-to-drink teas bad for your health?
Are all communities equal when it comes to understanding beverage labeling?
Over two hundred families received backpacks and school supplies for the upcoming school year due to the generosity and support of our sponsors. We had an amazing turnout for our First Annual Backpack Event! We were excited to have the opportunity to impact the lives and success of students in Duval County and we hope to expand our base of communal support and look forward to the future.
